Iida-Vilhelmiina Sinivalo is a Helsinki-based cellist and artistic researcher working at the intersection of classical music, contemporary performance, and improvisation.

She collaborates actively with artists from diverse musical and artistic traditions in Finland and internationally, and has premiered numerous new works.

Her work is guided by a deep interest in listening, and in exploring how the cello can become a voice across different forms of expression.

Sinivalo's solo cello programme explores the dialogue between sound and listening, bringing together contemporary works shaped by different musical traditions.

Moving between composed and more open moments, the music reflects encounters across cultures and sound worlds.

Through these pieces, the cello becomes a space for listening, where different influences meet, transform, and resonate.
